The best PC games?

The list of titles that have won over gamers is long. After all, PCs were used for gaming long before the age of consoles. But why go back so far when the last few years of PCs weren't so bad anyway? Here are our editorial TOP 10 PC games. Picking the best PC games isn't easy. It's not the same as picking the best games for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch. After all, PCs have a much more extensive history than other gaming platforms. After all, it's been a quarter of a century since such great games were released for PC. Does anyone not know legends like Command and Conquer, Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness, Half-Life, or The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall? agario

The best PC games of recent years

  • Divinity: Original Sin II
  • Civilization VI
  • Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
  • Anno 1800
  • Doom Eternal
  • Elysium Discotheque
  • Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
  • Red Dead Redemption 2
  • Ori and the Will of the Sages
You're probably wondering why our list doesn't include gems like Half-Life 2, Diablo, Portal 2, or even Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. It's simple - our intention wasn't to make a list of the best games ever that were previously great on PC. Instead, we've focused on relatively new, breathtakingly good PC games that have been praised not only by the media and have received many accolades and accolades but also by gamers themselves, who have won plenty of devoted fans. Moreover, they continue to enjoy great popularity. And as for the legends - it's better that they remain good memories. Of course, we are aware that in our TOP 10 PC games there are multiplatform productions, which are also included in the lists of the best games for PS4 and Xbox One. But such are the times - exclusive titles are rare. And even fewer of the really good ones. agario Here are the best games for PC:

The Witcher 3: Wild Game Edition of the Year

Oh, I can already hear voices saying "What's that old thing doing here? We told you our TOP 10 PC games would only include new games, and The Witcher 3: Wild Quest is already five years old." But the PC version of this amazing game is still evolving thanks to fans who are still working on various mods. And with the latest version of The Witcher 3 HD Reworked 11.0, our native production shines brighter than ever. Suffice to say, after seeing this mod in action, no one is likely to complain about the game's graphics anymore. But even without all the visual fireworks, The Witcher 3: Wild Game is an absolute masterpiece that any self-respecting gamer should absolutely play. Its side quests and the way they connect to the main story are still unmatched examples of a perfectly thought-out role-playing game. Who knows, maybe the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 will take over the number one spot from it. Key Features:

Divinity: Original Sin II

Divinity: Original Sin II is an absolute gem, and not just for those who nostalgically recall the beautiful evenings of Baldur's Gate. It's enough to look at players' own opinions - whether, on Steam or GOG, the game gets high praise everywhere. And that's not surprising, as Divinity: Original Sin II has everything we love classic games for - a great, memorable story, interesting characters with their own stories, wonderfully designed locations, and a rather interesting and demanding combat system. And all this is tied together by really good graphics and exceptionally atmospheric music. In such a situation, I think you'll admit yourself that Divinity: Original Sin II fully deserves its place among the best PC games of recent years. Key Features:

Civilization VI

There are many strategies on our list, but it would be hard to find one as original as Civilization VI. The formula created by Sid Meier has been refined and reworked for nearly thirty years to finally shine like a carefully cut diamond in the sixth edition. Sure, there were some controversial changes, but despite some fans' reservations, this turn-based "chess game" has its unique character and charm. Not many strategy games have a similar approach to the campaign - here we can lead any civilization through the ages, starting with a small settlement and ending up colonizing outer space. There's a wealth of options, and you can spend many sleepless nights figuring them out. In addition, Civilization VI also got some very interesting expansions that introduced natural disasters, a warmer climate, and a host of additional diplomatic and technological options. What can I say - this game is a treat for any fan of planning, conquest, and control. Key Features:

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

Star Wars fans have every right to complain about the "organizations" of their favorite film saga. Hits are rare here, and it's really hard to find productions that reek of freshness. The biggest surprise was Star Wars Jedi: The Fallen Order, whose creators combined ideas from the Tomb Raider series, Uncharted, and - surprisingly - Dark Souls. The end result is breathtaking. Especially because it was all perfectly inscribed in the Star Wars universe, set between Episodes III and IV. Who among us hasn't dreamed of a career as a Jedi Knight? Plus, he's one of the last survivors of the infamous Order 66, who must willingly or unwillingly face an increasingly powerful Empire. Key Features:
  • PEGI16 rating

Doom Eternal

Shooters come in many forms but rarely does a game blend classic solutions with new ideas as seamlessly as Doom Eternal. This is a truly avant-garde game - a frantic war against hellish hosts intertwined with an exploration of phantasmagorical locations. At the same time, it's the perfect title for those who want to let the air out after a hard day's work, and for those who love a challenge and exercising their fingers. The sequel to 2016's best-selling Doom takes us to Earth, which is being ravaged by a demon invasion. As you can easily guess, only our hero can save the planet from destruction. Luckily, we have an arsenal of weapons at our disposal, and if need be, we can also rip apart opponents with a chainsaw or even our bare hands. You'll need a lot of reflexes and thinking skills. And also a bit of stamina, because battles with demons can be difficult, in addition to being extremely fast. One thing is certain though - it's impossible to tear yourself away from such an intoxicating festival of brutal violence, explosions, gunfire, and blood. Key features:

Anno 1800

City-building simulators are a special kind of strategy game, and although few productions can compete for the title of the best representative of this genre, we have chosen Anno 1800. The sequel to the acclaimed series approaches the subject in an unconventional way. On the one hand, there is the development of cities and later metropolises, which take care of industry, tourism, trade, and contacts with other centers. On the other, there is the exploration of seas and oceans and even spectacular naval battles. The latest part of the series is set, as the title suggests, in the 19th century, which is associated with the challenges and opportunities characteristic of that time. The road to victory leads through smoke-filled factory sites, steamship yards, steel mills, mines, and even though the pages of censored newspapers. The expansions also add a lot to the already complex gameplay. They introduce new stories, the possibility to lead an expedition outside the Arctic Circle or to beautify cities with botanical gardens. Nothing more than venturing into uncharted waters to colonize, colonize and colonize some more. Key features:
  • PEGI7 rating
  • Language version English, Polish
  • Game genreStrategy RTS, strategic-economic
  • Publisher Ubisoft
  • Producer Blue Byte

Discotheque Elysium

What exactly is this title? How do you qualify it? That's probably the biggest takeaway from Disco Elysium. It doesn't fit into any pigeonhole. It's almost a combination of role-playing and adventure game. So we have a noir-style investigation in the streets of a city torn apart by riots, a drunken detective to whom we assign specific skills and talents, and above all, a non-linear plot that Raymond Chandler himself would be proud of. The well-written dialogue alternates with an exploration of picturesque sites and paths that are crucial to the story. The characters are vivid, the plots draw you in, and even the protagonist's psyche is interesting and begs to be explored. Especially that we have to talk to our own abilities more than once. What can I say - you won't find another title as unique as this one. The creators have put everything on one card, let go of the invention craft, and knocked out the hint competition. Key features:

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

More than one From Software game could be on our list. Dark Souls III, for example, is perfect for this. Our money, however, is on Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Why? Because it's a title that allowed Miyazaki (creator of the cult Souls games) to break out of his safe niche and fall in love with a multitude of gamers worldwide. Miyazaki's Samurai adventures are at once groundbreaking and a continuation of his characteristic "merciless" nature. They're more dynamic, sometimes seemingly less demanding, other times more. They are also frustrated when they need to be, and perhaps most importantly, they can be extremely satisfying. And then there's the eerie atmosphere of feudal Japan, haunted by fearsome monsters. And while Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice isn't a title for everyone, it managed to catch many PC gamers by its leash and steal their hearts forever. Key Features:
  • PEGI18 rating
  • Language version English
  • Game genre Action games, Adventure games
  • Publisher Cenega S.A.

Red Dead Redemption 2

We've been waiting a long time for a sequel (or actually a prequel) to Rockstar's western hit. But we finally got it, and what can I say, it's a masterpiece with a capital "D". I don't think any title to date has gotten as much out of the immersion phenomenon as the adventure of gunslinger Arthur Morgan. Red Dead Redemption 2 throws us into a vast open-world that is in no way confined to the prairies of the Wild West. It's a living microcosm that stretches from swampy terrain to snowy mountain passes and harsh deserts. The tale of a gang of criminals on the run from the police is gripping, and in multiplayer mode, you can simply... live in this picturesque world for real. The PC version of Rockstar's western adventure has absolutely phenomenal graphics to impress even the most demanding aesthetes. For a game like this, it's even worth upgrading your machine. • PEGI16 rating
  • Language version English, Polish
  • Game genre Action game

Ori and the Will of the Sages

Is adventure for kids? And platform games are an extinct genre? Not necessarily! Ori and the Will of the Wisps is the best proof to the contrary. The second part of the acclaimed game Ori and the Blind Forest takes us once again to the enchanted forest, where emotions and horror go hand in hand. The strength of this title, however, lies primarily in the absolutely stunning audiovisual setting with wonderfully composed music. And also in quite interesting arcade challenges. Because despite the looks, this is not just an easy and pleasant game for children. This is a real obstacle course that requires extraordinary reflexes, nerves of steel, and quick orientation in beautifully painted places. Ori and the Will of the Wisps is therefore a wonderful, dreamlike adventure for anyone who wants to immerse themselves in a magical world of adventure while putting their nerves of steel to the test.
